the capital of Saudi Arabia, is emerging as a global cuisine - Matbakh hub
The
Saudi capital, Riyadh, is witnessing what can be described as a “gastronomic
explosion.”
Famous
international brands have entered the market along with the proliferation of
local Saudi restaurants and street foods, contributing to Riyadh's growing
cultural diversity.
With
Saudi Arabia's Economic Vision 2030, the transformation has begun, and has
gained significant momentum since 2021. Saudi Arabia has witnessed a boom in
the number of international chefs and restaurants, accompanied by an increasing
influx of tourists and expatriates.
Many
international brands are Flamingo Room by Tashas, a
boutique and restaurant by the famous South African chef Spago Riad, from the
famous chef Wolfgang Puck, and Mr. Chow, the Chinese restaurant specializing in
authentic Beijing cuisine, founded by British-Chinese restaurateur Michael
Chow, is ready to open. And several others are working on it.
